You can even omit the salt for those of you who&#8217;s on low sodium diet . This recipe is enough for one jar of spice , that would last me quite a bit , as long as i don&#8217;t cook taco , enchiladas , or making carnitas everyday or every week LOL . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve used this recipe for regular chicken taco , which is cooked in slow cooker if i feel lazy , just dump the chicken breast , boneless , skinless with diced tomatoes and onion and rub with this spices all over . Sometimes i would use it for making fajitas either chicken or steak with bell peppers and onion , probably added lime , during the last minute of cooking . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And my favorite is actually to make carnitas with this , all i need is just pork shoulder , or pork butt , any kind of cut that has fat is recommended , but i have done it with pork tenderloin for less fat content . Which works good too , of course anything with a little bit of fat is better than the leaner cut , it has better flavor . So , with carnitas , i would just season the pork with spices , rub it all over and brown it and then add water , and juice of an orange , cinnamon stick and then cook it for couple hours to make it really tender . I need to make an entry for this . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But anyway , here is the recipe for taco seasoning . <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4.5 tbsp chili powder<\/li><li>6 tsp ground cumin<\/li><li>3 tsp smoked paprika<\/li><li>3 tsp kosher salt<\/li><li>1.5 tsp garlic powder<\/li><li>1.5 tsp onion powder<\/li><li>1 tsp cayenne powder<\/li><li>1.5 tsp oregano<\/li><li>4.5 tsp brown sugar<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix everything in a bowl .
