You could always get canned baked beans , such as Bush&#8217;s baked beans , but what fun is that ?<\/p>\n<p>So i decided to try it , i like baked beans but in my opinion , home made is better than canned . With their sweet smoky flavor .. i couldn&#8217;t resist but to try ..<\/p>\n<p>I was right .. everyone at the gathering loved the baked beans , someone even said &#8221; it&#8217;s not 4th of july without the baked beans .. &#8221; LOL ..<\/p>\n<p>So here is baked beans<\/p>\n<p>You need ;<\/p>\n<p>8-10 slices of thick bacon<\/p>\n<p>fry the bacon , until it&#8217;s almost done , and then leave about 1\/4 cup of the fat , and reserve the rest or throw it away , for Asians like me , bacon grease is like gold , so i saved it and put it in the fridge for cooking next time , great flavor !<\/p>\n<p>Then add in :<\/p>\n<p>1 large onion , finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 green pepper , diced<\/p>\n<p>and saute about 5 minutes . Next , add in :<\/p>\n<p>2 large cans of pork and beans<\/p>\n<p>About 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce , i used kraft sweet BBQ sauce<\/p>\n<p>Almost 1 cup of brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>About 3\/4 cup of apple cider vinegar<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it , simmer and bring it to boil then transfer it into your casserole dish .
