Being his recipe , i had high hopes because so far each recipes that i made from his book always turned out good .<\/p>\n<p>So , from the look of it , it looks delicious and wasn&#8217;t hard to make at all . Except i forgot certain ingredients that it required , so i ended up using with whatever i have on hand . One of them was to use canned diced tomatoes , but i didn&#8217;t have it on hand and i wasn&#8217;t able to drive my car yesterday either . But i do have lots of tomatoes on hand , i ended up using fresh tomatoes and diced them . I think this shouldn&#8217;t change much taste at all in my opinion . Just like Jamie said i think as long as you use a good quality sausage , i think this dish should be good .<\/p>\n<p>My family loves it , i , on the other hand , think this was just okay . It&#8217;s obviously edible , but there are other Jamie&#8217;s recipes that i prefer than this . Chop the vegetables roughly . , set aside .<\/p>\n<p>2. Heat up olive oil in a pan , high heat , then brown the sausages on all side . Then remove , reserve about 1\/4 cup of the oil from cooking the sausage in the skillet .<\/p>\n<p>3. Then add the bell peppers , celery and onion , cook about 10 mins until soften . Add garlic , chilies , and smoked paprika , and cayenne pepper , salt and pepper for a minute . Then add flour , cook a minute or so . Add the chicken broth and the tomatoes .
