Galbijim ( Beef short ribs )

Ingredients :

3 lbs of pork ribs ( i can’t find beef short ribs .. so pork will do well too )

1. Boil pork ribs for 10 minutes , dump the water out , rinse the ribs with cold water for 3 times . Set aside

In a large bowl , mix :

3 cups of water

6 tbsp. of soy sauce

1 large sliced onion

12 cloves of garlic

1 1/2 tbsp. of brown sugar

1 1/2 tbsp. rice wine

Pour the mixture into the pot contains pork ribs . Boil pork ribs for 20 minutes while you preparing the vegatable .

4-5 small carrots

2 carrots

1 package of shiitake mushroom

green onion

Add into the pot , after the ribs boiling for 20 minutes . Simmer for 1 hour , stir often .

Once it’s all done , add 3 tbsp. corn syrup , 1 1/2 tbsp. sesame oil and 1 tsp. of black pepper , mix well .

Sprinkle with green onion , serve with jasmine rice .
